Karima Adebibe: The New Lara Croft

Karima was relatively unknown till recently. The 20-year-old British babe will be the seventh model to portray Lara Croft in the successful Tomb Raider video-game series.
In February 2006, she was officially announced as the new model for Lara Croft in the popular video game series Tomb Raider, so she quit her work at the shop. She is learning combat, handling weapons, global archaeology, behavior and etiquette.There have been a total seven models for Tomb Raider and she is the latest. Karima follows in the footsteps of the previous Lara Croft stars: Lucy Clarkson, Rhona Mitra, Nell McAndrew, Vanessa Demouy, Lara Weller and of course Angelina Jolie in the Tomb Raider movies.
"This is an incredible opportunity for me and one which I plan to grasp with both hands" said Karima. "It's a huge challenge to follow in the footsteps of people like Nell McAndrew and Angelina Jolie, but life is all about challenges and this is perhaps the biggest one for a model and actress."

“I've always been quite athletic, but I've had to step it up because the outfit is very… unforgiving. The shorts are very short, and the latex is very tight”. Karima continues to work hard to keep up with her fitness programme.
